The latest OLLIE Youth Media Video of the Week is none other than The Peanut Butter and Jelly Movie!
When these students from Buckman Elementary School were asked to make a video about something they would like to change about their school, they knew right away what needed to be changed: the school PB & J sandwiches!
Reynolds, Madison, and George videos now online!
More great videos are now online. Head over to the media page to check out these new shorts! They include work by:
-The Honors Economics class at Reynolds High School. Their videos are focused on basic economic principles.
-The Film and Literature class at Madison High School. These videos explore and destroy stereotypes about high schoolers.
-The SUN after-school program at George Middle School. This small group made seven great mini-videos about easy things to do to make a difference in our communities.
OLLIE Loves Laura
Friday was Laura's last day with OLLIE. She will be missed. Check out the videos she made with her students.
Laura's teaching technique was devastating!
Laura helped create the OLLIE Youth Media program 5 years ago, as a partnership between Portland Community Media and MetroEast Community Media. During that time, thanks to Laura's hard work and dedication, OLLIE grew and expanded into the nationally recognized program that it is today.
In addition to her incredible leadership, Laura also found the time to work directly with hundreds of youth throughout Multnomah County, affecting their lives in a positive and meaningful way.
On behalf of all the OLLIE staff, and all of the students and teachers that OLLIE has worked with, I would like to say, "Thank you Laura, for everything. This world is a better place because of you."

Lonley Girl Says Goodbye is a terrific short animation about a girl who feels sad because her older friends are all graduating from high school.
Lynch View Videos Online!
The first batch of youth-produced OLLIE videos from our Spring 2009 term are now online! These videos are about the environment, and were made by SUN/Campfire students from Lynch View Elementary School.
