Info/How to apply

Major topics and activities will include:

Week 1: video production basics; methods of digital storytelling; camera functions and shot types; sequencing images; scripting; story-boarding; animation tutorial; detailed pre-production planning; editing tutorial using Final Cut Express; viewing/critiquing exemplary works.
Week 2: Audio design; collection of footage and sound; review/log of footage; intermediate/advanced editing; completion and screening of rough cuts; completion and screening of final projects; critique of final projects; plan community screening; self-evaluation; celebration.

This program is offered at no cost to the participants.  Students are responsible for arranging transportation and bringing their own lunches.

SESSION 1:  July 7-11 and July 14 - 18, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at MetroEast Community Media (829 NE 8th, Gresham, accessible by Max Blue Line)    
SESSION 2:  July 28 – August 1 and August 4 – 8, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Portland Community Media (2766 NE M L King Jr. Blvd., Portland, accessible by Bus #6)
